TEDxDetroit for High School Students
The TEDxDetroit scholarship program is offered only to certified high school teachers, administrators and their students.
On Thursday, October 6th, 2016, the TEDxDetroit Conference will be held at the Fox Theatre from 8am to 6pm.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, involves bringing up to five outstanding and enterprising HIGH SCHOOL ONLY students who would benefit from the experience. Ticket cost is $85, but you and your student guests would receive complimentary tickets. One educator + five students = six free tickets!
What type of student would be best to bring? Innovative, imaginative, resourceful, spirited, responsible young adults… you know the type. Ages 17-18 preferred as the speakers may discuss some adult themes. We’re not checking grade point averages at the door, but we do request that you bring only trusted students who would benefit from and/or add to the experience — not just someone looking for a day off from school.
You or your school district need to provide transportation – we are just offering tickets.
Once you’ve got commitments from students and your district, contact Greg Feldkamp, the TEDxDetroit Director of Education, via email at Gregory.Feldkamp@uticak12.org to request your unique registration form.
Please do not assume commitments. Contact Greg ONLY once you’ve got commitments from students and your district.
Your request for registration documents should come from a school district email address, and in your request, please specify:
- Your school
- Your school district
- Your position/title
We look forward to seeing you at TEDxDetroit 2016.
